Golden Horn Bay Bridge

Vladivostok

Construction of a bridge across the Golden Horn Bay is set to begin in July of this year. The Golden Horn Bay is approximately seven kilometres long and two kilometres wide and is located on the far eastern side of Russia.

Golden Horn Bay The bridge will connect the Russian port of Vladivostok to Korsakov. Upon completion the Golden Horn Bridge will connect Vladivostok and the Russkiy Island and also the city centre and Churkin Cape. The bridge will span 737 metres and have a length of 1900 metres. The project also includes the development of a four-lane tunnel in the city and will facilitate travel between the two port cities. Currently, it takes up to an hour and a half to get from one coast to the other, but with the new bridge the trip would be considerably lessened and estimated to take only a few minutes. The project will not only facilitate travel times, but will also decrease the amount of traffic jams in the centre of Vladivostok.
Further development on Russkiy Island is being considered; with talk of a large international business centre, hotels and a recreational zone on the cards. These projects would entail an increase in the demand of real estate, and has the potential of bringing more jobs and business to the area.
