Swansea Regeneration Project
Swansea is undergoing a major regeneration scheme aiming to make the city an exciting and promising place for visitors, residents and businesses. Several new hotels, residential units and recreational centres have emerged in the city centre, and have already attracted several investors.
Swansea has recently been going through major re-developments, and has become an attraction for residential projects. The Swansea point development located near the city’s marina has been a popular project and all units were sold within hours. The Meridian Quay development is a new residential and leisure scheme which upon completion will be the tallest residential tower in Wales. This tower will be 29 storeys high and feature apartments and town houses in the vicinity.
The main part of the regeneration scheme in Swansea is the SA1 Waterfront scheme which is a mixed-use project being built right on the waterfront. This project consists of residential and commercial units, as well as several leisure schemes. The Waterfront project will be self-contained with everything located on the premises. Residents and business workers can enjoy the beautiful views and surrounding greenery with the new and sustainable design.
Swansea’s regeneration has included several other large projects including the Liberty Stadium, the National Waterfront Museum and National Pool. Several new projects are underway and are making the city increasingly attractive for investors. Infrastructure has been improved upon, and the regeneration scheme aims to make Swansea a completely refurbished cultural Waterfront City with a lot to offer.
